The Hospital for the Elderly

Kluaynamthai 2 Geriatric Hospital (the Hospital for the Elderly) provides treatments and care for patients and the elderly diagnosed with general diseases, cold, diarrhea, injuries and chronic diseases, diabetes, hypertension, anemia requiring blood transfusion and blood stream infection needing laboratory tests and antibiotics or other medical procedures.

Examination and Treatment

The outpatient department offers services for all age groups by specializing in care of the elderly. The hospital has physicians, nurses and various departments and services, such as X-ray room, laboratory for blood test, physiotherapy room, occupational therapy room, elderly consultation room, medical checkup for staff prior to starting work, annual medical checkup and different types of vaccines.

Services for Accident and Emergency Patients

The accident and emergency department by a team of physicians and nurses offers a 24-hour service for accident and emergency patients. In case the patients need further treatments, they will be referred to other hospitals with higher capacity, as the hospital does not have an operating room or ICU. To refer the patients to the other hospitals, specialized physicians must be consulted, and ambulances must be prepared for the patients 24 hours.

Dental Services

The dental department offers treatments and care for oral cavity and teeth, and the services are provided by dentists. The services include tooth positioning, root canal treatment, denture, etc.

Services for Elderly Inpatients

The patients must be admitted for medication administration, blood transfusion or other medical procedures, such as injection, treatment for bedsore, oxygen therapy as per medical checkup results and physicians’ treatment guidelines.
