Short-Term Care of the Elderly
The care is provided for the elderly for 4-6 weeks by classifying it into programs, including treatment program, rehabilitation program and program supporting some activities of daily living. When the elderly gets better, they can return home. Otherwise, the elderly can stay in the center when their relatives cannot take care of them during festivals and holidays like New Year, Songkran or caregivers’ days off.
Long-Term Care of the Elderly
The care is provided for the elderly who cannot perform their activities of daily living, or who do not want to stay home, as their health conditions are vulnerable to accidents, or whose relatives cannot take care of them. The elderly patients often stay in the hospital for a long time, and these elderly patients consist of Alzheimer’s patients, Parkinson’s patients, stroke patients, etc. In addition, the elderly with difficulties caused from chronic diseases must be monitored for drug administration and assistance in activities of daily living.
